Why Bliss?

Many of you, and new comments I've been receiving, have been asking me - why is my blog named Bliss?

This little world of mine over here got its name 'Bliss' for two reasons, and two reasons only.
First, Bliss is my FAVORITE word, ever. (Soon to be with me forever via a tattoo!)
Over the years, starting in ninth grade, I started to form this weird love for words. I really like using a thesaurus, a dictionary, learning new complicated words, speaking with a fun vocabulary - but mainly I like to learn words that I think have beautiful meaning behind them. Bliss is my love. It's beautiful to say, and its meaning is perfect.
Second, Bliss is what I strive to live my days in.
Bliss: prefect happiness; great joy.
Love always,
Mo

Puppy Love.

One night, recently, we decided to start saving for our first puppy.
This is the first two dollars that we put into the Puppy Jar.
The story behind the $2.00:
Ages ago (like three years ago) Cory had a fish tank in his dorm room.
We went to Walmart to get a fish for me.
He was so cute. A little white fish named Boomer.
Cory wanted to pay for it, but forgot his wallet, so I payed for it.
It was $2.00 for heaven's sake!!
BUT - when we got back to the dorm he insisted he give me $2.00 back.
I, in turn, then mailed it to him within the next few days.
Cory saved it all this time, and it turned into our first donation into buying our bundle of furry joy.

Putting the first donation in.
It was a big moment for us!

Adding to the love.

Yeah, we're pretty stinkin' excited.
To date: $14.43.
Holla.

Love always,
Mo

Life is Art.

I was thinking - isn't life art?
Simply put, but it means so much.
You know that saying: "It's all in what you make of it."
Isn't that the same thing? And isn't it so true?
Life is all in what you make of it, and it's your canvas to do with it what you want.
Anything.
You can do anything. Create anything. Think anything. Love everything.
You can choose whatever medium you wish.
Any colors, mood, texture, tone, message you want.

Life is art.
What you do, how you dress, how you love, what you love, how you talk.
Your smile, your personality.
Your beliefs, dreams, passions.
Your house, your To Do list, your food, your handwriting, your writing, your laugh.
How you make people feel.

Your life is a masterpiece you've been working on since day one,
And you won't finish until you're gone yourself.
So get your hands dirty. Create it. Dive in. Dig in.
Bring it to life.
It's only going to be all in what you've dreamed of if you're willing to get your hands dirty.
The future is yours. The future belongs to you. All of it.

"We all die. The goal isn't to live forever. The goal is to create something that will."
Chuck Palahniuk

Life is art, and it's nothing short of extraordinary.
Love always,
Mo

My Cat Grass!!!

I will warn you, I may sound overly excited about growing some grass, but it was so AWESOME!!
This little activity of mine started about 3 weeks ago when I went to Home Depot to help my mom get a new lawn mower. We were at the checkout line and, of course, the leopard cover caught my eye. I came to find out it's a little kit for cat grass!!! I was SO excited.
So, we bought it! It was only about $7.00! It said it helps with hairballs, digestion and so your cats will not eat your other plants. Bingo - what a fabulous investment I thought.
This is the cute little pot it came with to grow your grass in. The paw prints sold me, what can I say...
The kit included the soil and the seeds.
So, I planted it just as the instructions called for. I was nervous though because some seeds were sticking out. But, it said it was OK.
And what would you know - a few days of tender, love and care (oh yes, and sunlight and water. I suppose I need to add that...) BAM! It was growing!
And FAST TOO!
In about a week - it was a wild thing!
This is my cat Timmy. He LOVES IT!
See!
And Rosie, she loves it too!!

Ah, the littlest things are the greatest.
Love always,
Mo
